She is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Tennessee. Her interests include gastrointestinal diseases and teaching.
M. KATHERINE TOLBERT DVM, Ph.D., DACVIM. Clinical Associate Professor, Texas A&M University, USA
Dr. Tolbert completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree and small animal internship at the University of Georgia, USA. She obtained the status of Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine after completing a residency in small animal internal medicine at North Carolina State University, USA. At this institution, she also obtained her Ph.D. in comparative biomedical sciences. She is currently a Clinical Associate Professor with the Texas A&M University Gastrointestinal Laboratory. Dr. Tolbert is well-published in her field, with more than 50 peer-reviewed publications and 11 textbook chapters. Her clinical and basic science research programs are centered on the identification and treatment of gastrointestinal diseases in companion animals.
